Time for Tea

Hi,
Sorry I have not been very active lately but I have not been well. I have ended up getting anaemia some how. And hence have had no energy to do anything. I have to take this nasty liquid iron every day that tastes like rust - Yuk! I'm hoping this won't last too long because I fed up of laying in bed staring at the ceiling :(
So here I have a nice and simple card I made using a pack of cute Tea Time die cuts. I just had to decide which ones went together well and then arrange them how I liked. I also used some matching twine.
Thanks for visiting my blog!

If the Shoe fits ...

Hi fellow bloggers,
Today we have a new challenge starting at  Challenges 4 Everybody and its Anything Goes! Our sponsor is Sassy studio designs. The image I have used for my card today is from them and is called
Carrie Sassy.
I coloured her in with promarkers and I chose the paper first so I would know what colours to use. Instead of doing it the other way around, like I usually do, and then realise I have no paper to match my image!
The shoe stamps are from StampinUp, I think, and are rubber stamps.
The sentiment is also a rubber stamp but half of it is stamped on the inside of the card and I forgot to take a picture. It reads : If the shoe fits buy the matching purse.
Lastly I added some ribbon and a brad in the corner.
Oh, I did the doodling under the sentiment because it didn't stamp straight. Hope it looks ok! I prefer the clear stamps, don't have to worry about that with them.
So hopefully you will come and join us for the challenge!
Thanks for visiting!

If You're Feeling Blue...

Today we have a new challenge at Challenges 4 Everybody. It is always Anything goes, and our lovely sponsors are: Lacy Sunshine. This image that I have used on my card is from them and is called "Maddie and Clover Groovy Hippie Music Digi". Hmm rather a long name!
So, I coloured my image with promarkers.
The papers are from my friend Dorcas.
The spotty ribbon doesn't seem to have any company name on the pack, but it came with 3 other patterned ribbons with similar colours.
The flower is from Petaloo and I have attached it with a mini green brad.
The 2 buttons are flat back and I won them in a candy last year.
The sentiment is from a rubber stamp. I wish it was as easy as the sentiment says to change the way we feel!
Anyway, I hope you are not feeling blue today. But if you are, I hope the bright colours on this card will cheer you up a bit :)
Thanks for visiting!

Nelly and Leo

Hi, hope you all are well.
The image for today's card is from the Stamp fairy called Nelly and Leo and I have coloured it with promarkers.
The flower picture is from an old gardening magazine.
The paper I stamped the sentiment on is from my Rose Garden pack from Dovecrafts, as is the sentiment stamp.
I used some green and pink heart gems around Nelly and Leo.
Also bows from pink organza ribbon and some stick on ribbon with pearls.
Hope you like my card and thanks for visiting and for your encouraging comments!

Spring Photographs

Just wanted to share some spring pics I have taken. My husband bought me a new camera last month for our anniversary! I have been using just the one on my mobile phone for years. I love photography but since digital cameras came out + having kids, I have not been able to do much. I have 2 other good cameras but they are the old fashioned kind and it is sad because they were worth a lot but now if I try and sell them I would get nothing for them :(
Anyway, I'm trying to get use to my new camera and here are a few pics from our garden.

These other pictures are not from our garden but from places we have visited recently.

I will try and make a new page at the top of my blog for some of the best photos.
Thanks for visiting!

An Artists Garden

Wish I had the time to just sit in the garden and paint the beautiful plants and flowers. Well I could, but then I wouldn't have the time to make these cards! I use to paint and maybe one day if you want I will share some of my work with you :)
Anyway, this lovely painting was by  Cath Read and I just cut it out of an RHS magazine.
It doesn't show in the picture but I used a lovely textured cream card. The sentiment thingy (tag? die cut? I don't know what to call it) is also on cream card.
Lastly I added this paper flower with a brad that I thought went well with the picture.
Hope you have a good day and thanks for visiting!

Rose Garden Paper Card

Hi, hope you all are well and having a good weekend! We actually got some sun today! Yay! But now its gone :(
Anyway, the British love talking (more like complaining) about the weather, and I am only half British so I am going to quickly change the subject and talk about my card now :)
I kept it simple and didn't use any image because I like the paper and the colours in it and didn't want them to just become the background.
The paper is from Papermania, called Rose Garden.
I just added matching paper flowers, sentiment stickers and a bit of lace.
Hope you like my card!
